A Memory Of

(Click on Image for Full Painting)
Working with common subjects like buttery desserts, household objects and   visual elements like reflections, patterns, and sensational colors, I convey the richness and love of the home.
I grew up experiencing dark winters steeped with tales of what was, and objects that spoke of identity. I pull from my natural tendency to tell stories about the richness of the past and how it connects to the future.  Food, especially dessert, is a staple, an element that connects deeply with childhood experiences.  To me, food and objects are characters, mimicking emotional states and depicting narratives to the viewer.
